Country Three-Chord (G–D–C)

Country music lives and breathes the I–V–IV progression. G–D–C in G major covers virtually every classic country song ever written. The V resolving to IV (rather than I) gives country music that laid-back, rootsy feeling. Add some twang and a Nashville two-step strum and you're in business.
