Gentle Pop (I–iii–IV–I)

A soft, warm progression that uses the mediant (iii) chord to create a gentle melodic descent in the bass. In G major: G–Bm–C–G. The iii chord shares two notes with the I chord but adds a melancholic color. Ideal for ballads and introspective singer-songwriter pieces.
